Naturalization Oath of Allegiance(2-08-04)
Recently I became aware that the Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to the United States includes the following words:
"I hereby declare, on oath,...that I will perform work of national
importance under civilian direction when required by law; ...so help me God."
This is easily confirmed with a Google search.
It doesn't even take a lawyer to realize that payment of the national debt could be considered work of "national importance".
