Signatures

August 19, 1981

A signature is a confirmation of consent.  One can never be forced to consent to anything.  Therefore one can never be forced to sign anything.  If something is true before consent, there is no need for a signature.  If it is not already true, one cannot be compelled voluntarily to consent to anything.

A signature to acknowledge is only helping an adversary to build whatever case he wishes to build against one.  It is not required.

Summary:  Never sign anything unless you are sure you wish to help the person asking for the signature.

There is no legal obligation to sign anything, ever.
