Two Paths

Faith in God and obedience to him leads to honest living.  Honest people produce and trade commodities freely, for the benefit of all, which leads to peace, harmony, and prosperity.

Rejection of God leads to selfishness and unguided living.  Selfish, unprincipled people try to live on the production of others through dishonest schemes.  Variable weights and measures facilitate dishonesty.  A dishonest unit of money is the most profitable scheme.  Schemes of fiat money permit ultimate flexibility or elasticity of the unit.  All dishonest schemes lead to a decline of effort by productive people, and finally lead to famine, violence, and war.

"You cannot serve God and money."
