The Fundamental Question

November 10, 1981

The fundamental issue in the money question, as in all other important issues today, is whether God or man rules--truth vs. lies, good vs. evil, humanism vs. theism, creation vs. evolution, etc.

Relative to money, the issue is whether man determines the value of things by learning the truth, observing the facts, recognizing reality (a posteriori), or by declaring and himself ruling on the nature of truth and value, by "creating" it by an act of volition (a priori).  Artificial money is man's creation.  Real money is man's recognition of created reality.

It all goes back to the first temptation--you will be like gods, determining yourself what is good, evil, value, truth, etc.
